Ubiquiti UniFi Wi-Fi Installation

Ubiquiti Unifi Wi-Fi Installation

Henry and Diane reached out to us for assistance with their
in-home internet issues, including persistent lag, frequent dropouts, and
choppy Zoom calls. These challenges were particularly noticeable in their
backyard, where they hosted many outdoor meetings during the COVID lockdowns.

Ubiquiti Unifi U6-Mesh Access Point

This Ubiquiti Unifi U6 Mesh Access Point was a straight-forward install providing solid Wi-Fi coverage for the second floor.
Sometimes we do these U6-Mesh units, other times we install U6 and U7-Wall
Access Points, depending on stock levels and what the client is looking for.

Ubiquiti Unifi U6-In-Wall Access Point

To maintain a clean and streamlined look in the kitchen, we chose the Ubiquiti UniFi U6-In-Wall Access Point. It delivered excellent coverage for both the kitchen and family room while also providing an Ethernet connection for their Sonos Bridge.

Ubiquiti Unifi Outdoor AC Mesh Pro

To ensure robust Wi-Fi coverage in the backyard, we installed an outdoor-rated access point and carefully routed the necessary cabling. We felt the placement looked great, but for clients who prefer a more discreet setup, we typically mount the access point lower, tucking it behind
bushes or other landscaping elements.

Ubiquiti Unifi Wi-Fi Installation

This was our starting point for this project. Karim had many issues with his Google Mesh/Bell Wi-Fi whole-home system. We did a consultation, came up with a proper plan, and recommended a new Ubiquiti network including several hardwired ceiling mounted APs, a Unifi Cloud key, and a shelf to mount the new equipment.

The client wasn’t looking to install a network rack, but wanted everything neat, tidy, and organized, while still having room under the shelf for his storage bins.  Here you can see the Ubiquiti Unifi Cloud key Gen 2, PoE switch, and Bell Home Hub 4000 on a shelf, with lots of room left for his bins.

Here is the Ubiquiti Unfi U6-LR ceiling-mounted Access Point, providing good coverage for his basement’s game room, a bedroom, and home gym. There’s also a U6-Inwall helping fill in coverage, and provides an ethernet switch to plug in a PC... lots of Wi-Fi coverage and power for this semi-detached home!

Ubiquiti U6 In-Wall Wi-Fi 6 Access Point provides strong Wi-Fi to basement recreation area.

Ubiquiti U6-Pro Wi-Fi 6 Ceiling Mount provides excellent Wi-Fi to top floor of house, while being located outside bedrooms as client asked.

Almost Done! This is our "after" picture... Network is up and running with new Ubquiti 24 Port PoE Switch installed and Dow wiring cleanup and organization. We could take it further but ran out of time and patch cables, and client was happy with this cleaned up and fully functional network rack.

St. Timothy's Wifi Installation

When St. Timothy's reached out for help with their Wi-Fi system, we knew it was a church, but we had no idea how big it was!

Initially, we proposed a $10,000 solution, including hard-wiring all
access points for optimal performance. Unfortunately, that was beyond
their budget.

To accommodate their needs, we designed a more affordable solution at just a third of the cost — and they said yes!

We installed a complete TP-Link system that met their needs and exceeded
expectations. It was a pleasure to help them stay connected!
